Good red-ruby. New World aromas of currant, black raspberry, licorice, mocha and spicy oak; a bit briary and zinfandel-like. Then fairly dense and ripe, with slightly tart-edged flavors of dark berries, licorice and flowers. Has mid-palate sweetness but tails off a bit on the somewhat drying finish.
