Reviews

Romazini: 5/5 Stars

The Winespectator: 89/100 Points

This brawny red shows layers of plum skin, blackberry, cassis and toasty oak, with hints of game, grilled herbs and mocha fleshing out the grippy finish. Nero d'Avola and Syrah. Drink now through 2012. 800 cases imported

Vintage 2006: Shows focused aromas of boysenberry, blackberry and light vanilla. Full-bodied, with soft, round tannins and a long, flavorful finish. Beautiful and juicy. Drink now. 45,830 cases made.

Robert Parker: 89/100 Points

The 2008 Baglio Soria Santagostino (Nero d'Avola) is an absolutely gorgeous wine that melds the aromatics of Nero d'Avola with the greater textural richness and spiciness of Syrah. A long, polished finish rounds out this attractive red that also happens to be a terrific value. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2013.
