ReviewsRomazini: 4/5 StarsRound yet complex Malbec blend. Sophisiticated style. The Winespectator: 91/100 PointsLush and rich, with layered fig paste, crushed plum and dark blueberry fruit mingling with extra licorice snap and dark chocolate notes. Rich, but not overbearing. Nicely embedded acidity carries the finish. Drink now through 2011. Robert Parker: 89/100 PointsVintage 2007: The purple-colored 2007 Malbec Estate spent 18 months in French oak, 20% new. It has an excellent bouquet of lavender, spice box, black cherry, and black raspberry. Ripe and full-bodied on the palate, it has plenty of spicy, savory black fruit, good balance, and a lengthy, fruit-filled finish. Give it 2-3 years and drink it from 2011 to 2019. The WinemakerThe Wine Enthusiast: 89/100 PointsA typically huge Colomé wine with initial damp, murky, funky aromas that give way to earth, roasted fruit and compost. Fortunately it's fresher in the mouth, and the wine definitely improves with airing. Still, the palate is big and oily, with roasted berry, herb and wild, exotic flavors. A unique style of Malbec from old Calchaquí vines. Customer reviewsNo comment has been written to this post so far. |
