ReviewsRomazini: 3/5 StarsThe Winespectator: 90/100 PointsTraditional Vin Santo, with salty, dried apricot and nutty aromas. Full-bodied, medium sweet, with dried fruits and a nutty, sweet, toffee aftertaste. What Vin Santo is supposed to taste like. Drink now. 250 cases made. Robert Parker: 88/100 PointsThe 2005 Vinsanto del Chianti Classico is a pretty, mid-weight version of Tuscany's famous dessert wine. Plums, prunes, and spice cake are some of the nuances that emerge from this easygoing, accessible Vin Santo. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2013. From top to bottom this is a beautiful set of wines from Antinori. The estate's 2006 Guado al Tasso, Tignanello and Solaia are all beautiful, even if they don't appear to possess the elegance of the superb 2004s.
