Outstanding Carménère. Wonderful and strong color, full nose with dark berries and various spices. Full and soft body with a long finish. An icon, still strongly undervalued.

Sleek and polished, displaying a pure, racy core of raspberry, black cherry and black currant fruit, laced with alluring black tea, mineral and tobacco notes. Very stylish.

Vintage 2006: Saturated purple, spice box, mineral, plum, black cherry, and blueberry. Followed by a round, mouth-filling plush wine with ripe underlying tannin, complex, spicy flavors, excellent density, and a long, fruit-filled finish. Drink from 2012 to 2021.

Stephen Tanzer: 90/100 Points

Vintage 2006: Inky ruby. Suave aromas of black raspberry, potpourri and licorice. A smoky note comes up with air and carries onto the palate, which offers sweet red and black fruit flavors and fine-grained tannins. Sappy red fruits linger on the long, nicely focused finish. This is complex enough to drink now but I'd hold off for at least another couple of years.

Blast from the past. Very dark crimson. Minerals and complexity on the nose. Round and well constructed. Thoroughly satisfying. Very neat and confident with no heat on the end.
