Le Difese, the little brother of the legendary Sassicaia stands for the classic tuscany every day wine with Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese. The color is intense ruby red. Fruit, acidity and tannins are going to melt down and refine in 1-2 years. Due to the run for the big brother, this solid value is very much asked for and may be sold out before the new vintage arrives. Buy this one by the case!

Vintage 2008: Offers blackberry and spice aromas. Full-bodied, with chewy tannins and bright acidity. Barley and green wood mark the medium finish. Needs to come together. Best after 2011. 17,500 cases made. -JS

Vintage 2008: Tenuta San Guido's 2008 Le Difese is impressive in this vintage. Blackberries, crushed rocks, flowers and spices are just some of the aromas and flavors that flow from the gorgeous Le Difese. There is more than enough freshness to suggest this should drink nicely for several years. Le Difese is 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Sangiovese. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2015.
