Vintage 2006: Bright gold. High-pitched citrus and orchard fruit aromas are complicated by smoky herbs and dried flowers. Fleshy, sweet pear and peach nectar flavors are given a bitter edge by a touch of orange marmalade and offer very good palate coverage. Zesty acidity adds cut to the finish, which repeats the sweet pear and orange notes. There's nothing overly fat or syrupy about this wine, which would work well with blue cheeses or light fruit desserts.
