A full, velvety and juicy red, delivering lots of Christmas pudding and dried fruit character on the nose and palate. Best after 2011. 12,500 cases made.

Vintage 2007: Aia Vecchia's 2007 Lagone is a wonderful entry-level red from Tuscany's Maremma. A blend of 60% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc, the Aia Vecchia emerges with dark red berries, grilled herbs and spices, showing lovely vibrancy and freshness all the way through to the finish. This is a great value and a fabulous introduction to the wines of Bolgheri. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2014.
