ReviewsRomazini: 4/5 StarsThe Winespectator: 88/100 PointsFragrant black fruit and oak on the nose. Medium-bodied, with fine tannins and a clean, fruit and vanilla finish. Nicely balanced. Best after 2009. 5,900 cases made. Robert Parker: 90/100 PointsThe 2007 Chianti Classico is a fat, opulent Chianti loaded with perfumed, juicy fruit. The wine blossoms on the palate with tons of generosity and an undeniably appealing, sexy personality. The French oak is just a touch dominant at this stage, but another year or so in bottle should help the wine come together nicely. Alternatively, opening the bottle an hour or so in advance will help as well. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2017. Stephen Tanzer: 87/100 PointsDark ruby-red. Red cherry cough syrup, blackcurrant and minerals on the nose. Then dense and chewy, with red cherry, dark plum, mineral and underbrush flavors. Finishes rather astringent but clean and long. Needs food. Customer reviewsNo comment has been written to this post so far. |
