The Winemaker


The Grappa is the result of distilling our best grape marc according to the traditional and discontinuous technique.
Blend: Sangiovese, Merlot and a little Cabernet Sauvignon; Alcohol: 43 % by vol.; Distillation technique: Straight after arriving at the distillery, the grape marc is distilled little by little in copper steaming cauldrons. This traditional and discontinuous technique guarantees the best quality. The result is a high-proof distillate which is then put in small oak barrels for aging.
Distillery: Distilleria Berta, Piedmont; Maturing: In Barriques (225 l) of French oak; Time of maturing: 12 months; Production: 1200 bottles (0.5 l)
