Gamla stands for solid and highly rated wines from the Golan Heights. The Cabernet Sauvignon is the allrounder and kosher for passover.
The Winemaker
Aromatic blackberry, raspberry and cherry fruit characters meld with spice, hints of herb and nuances of oak in the 2005 Gamla Cabernet Sauvignon. This is a classic Cabernet with good body and a long satisfying finish. While tasty now, Gamla Cabernet improves with some additional age and stays in very good shape for six to eight years following the harvest. For many, Gamla is the "house" Cabernet. Its classic character makes it a great pair with many foods, from a good steak grilled medium rare to a steaming plate of pasta to a spice rubbed lamb chop or to a good stew.
