ReviewsRomazini: 4/5 StarsFull and intense body, dark fruit and chocolate. A modern sicilian with power and finesse. A Nero d'Avola highlight. The Winespectator: 86/100 PointsMillésime 2008: Forward notes of crushed blackberry and damson plum pick up iron and violet hints on the slightly grippy finish. Drink now. Robert Parker: 88/100 PointsVintage 2008: The 2008 Chiaramonte (Nero d'Avola) is a fresh, juicy wine with plenty of varietal character in its perfumed red fruit and excellent overall balance. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2012. I have to say I was deeply impressed with the wines I tasted from Firriato this year. Across the board this is a very solid line-up, which is particularly impressive considering the estate's production is now nearly 5 million bottles per year spread across numerous properties in Sicily. Firriato is among the new entrants in the Etna, and those wines are among the highlights. The WinemakerCustomer reviewsNo comment has been written to this post so far.Who bought this wine also bought
