ReviewsRomazini: 3/5 StarsThe Winespectator: 87/100 PointsBlackberry and currant aromas follow through to a medium body, with fine, slightly austere tannins and an aftertaste of vanilla, cedar, berry and coffee. Needs bottle age to mellow. Best from 2010 through 2014. 5,000 cases made. Robert Parker: 89/100 PointsAnother sleeper of the vintage, this blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc may be the finest Dalem I have yet tasted. Dark ruby/purple-tinged with sweet cherry and black currant fruit interwoven with hints of stony minerality and spring flowers, this medium to full-bodied 2006 possesses sweet tannin, impressive concentration, and no hard edges. Consume it over the next 7-8 years. Excellent value. Jancis Robinson: 16.5/20 PointsDark, healthy crimson. Bright, sweet yet earthy - very honest nose. Round and energetic. Impressive. This should make very appetising old bones. Tucked in but not painfully tannic to taste even at this early stage. [blind] Very successful wine. Crimson and very different from most Fronsacs - because of older vines perhaps? More complex aromas. Supple and confident with very fine tannins. Really in the refreshing spirit of the vintage.
