Modern effort from shining Riebra del Duero. Packed, dark and fruity.

The 2009 Celeste is 100% Tempranillo from Ribera del Duero aged for 12 months in French and American oak. It offers up an already complex nose of cedar, exotic spices, incense, lavender, espresso, and blackberry. This is followed by a supple, spicy, ripe, layered wine that will evolve for another 3-4 years and drink well through 2021 if not longer.
Torres has been increasingly looking outside of Penedes for other regions to produce wine with their most distant outposts in Chile and California.
