The Winemaker
Harvest Hand picked harvest. End of April and beginning of May. Soil Riverbench associated soil. Aging 60% aged in small American oak barrels and 40% in stainless steel tanks for about 6 to 8 months.
Bright, dark and deep purple. Blackberries and dark plums with hints of pepper, vanilla and toasty American oak. Smooth and well structured mouthfilling texture, with notes of spices and dark plum, and a generous touch of toasted American oak.

This Bordeaux-inspired malbec won through, with plenty of fine perfumed oaky, cedary spice to the fore and lots of chunky sandalwood-spiked tannin on the palate, cushioned by ripe, curranty fruit.
