ReviewsRomazini: 4/5 StarsThe south african bordeaux blend with the full and complex body with a spicy structure to the long finish. The Winespectator: 91/100 PointsAlluring, this is dark and concentrated but stylish, thanks to a strong graphite underpinning that carries the macerated cherry and currant fruit. Hints of grilled herb, tobacco and dark olive move throughout as well. There's a legitimate grip that's far chunkier than that of the 2006. Should settle in with moderate cellaring. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2011. Stephen Tanzer: 92/100 PointsBright, saturated ruby-red. Musky aromas of cassis, black raspberry, minerals, dark chocolate, smoke and earth. At once penetrating and generous, with dark fruit and mineral flavors complicated by captivating soil tones. This really spreads out horizontally to dance on the palate on the subtle, long back end. A suave, complex wine with excellent verve and a light touch. This is approachable now but has the structure for a decade of bottle aging. The Wine Enthusiast: 92/100 PointsVintage 2006: This Old World-style red starts with a savory, complex nose of rich meats, tobacco, leather and smoke. The flavors are a blend of spicebox, tobacco, smoke and cedar. Its elegant tannic structure and generous mouthfilling character will attract collectors and lovers of Bordeaux wines.
