ReviewsRomazini: 4/5 StarsAromas of currant, berry and light vanilla. Full-bodied and structured. Fine tannins but not giving much now. This is big and powerful. Needs lots of time. Best after 2010. 21,000 cases made. The Winespectator: 93/100 PointsThis red starts out ripe and accessible, boasting plum, cherry and chocolate flavors, then turns firm and tight on the finish, where tobacco and mineral notes take over. I like the potential of this when it integrates more fully. Best from 2014 through 2024. Robert Parker: 89/100 PointsThe 2006 Brunello di Montalcino is one of the most juicy, easygoing wines readers will come across in this vintage. A sweet, open bouquet leads to bright red fruits as this vinous Brunello flows from the glass. Crushed flowers, mint and raspberries add complexity on the delicate, nuanced finish. The wine's up-front personality makes it an excellent choice for enjoyment over the next handful of years. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2020.
